I have been a member of the State Bar of Georgia since 1987. I am a proud husband, father and grandfather. My two sons are lawyers (and members of the State Bar of Georgia) and I have been the beneficiary of a long-established law firm blessed with a history of supportive partners associates, staff and clients. I am excited to have the opportunity to volunteer further with an organization that has supported my law practice for almost four decades and will continue to support the work of my sons in their legal careers into the future.
In the last few years, I have had the opportunity to become more engaged with the State Bar. As a past Board member and recent chair of the Bar’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Section (and proud recipient of the State Bar Award of Achievement for our Section), I have enjoyed participating with the leadership and staff of the State Bar. I am hopeful to have the opportunity to work further with them on ongoing Bar governance and growth.
I have had the honor of being a board member and leader in various organizations in the Atlanta community (Temple Sinai, Anti-Defamation League, Winship Cancer Center) and I hope to have an opportunity to apply my experience to this organization as well.
Thank you for your support.
As practicing attorneys, it is important for Bar members to stay up to date on developing areas of law and to keep the Bar (and its educational and support services) “relevant” as guidance for our members’ ongoing practices. Our biggest obstacle in our profession will be how to properly apply AI into the future practice of law.
